Description

This building is the mausoleum of an Iranian philosopher on which a hall was added later. After a while two minarets with a special mechanism were added. When one of the minarets is shaken by the person inside it, the other one also shakes automatically. This technology was invented in Iran 700 years ago and some “wiggling minarets” were built in Iran but only this building has this unique resonance feature and also moves back and forth for a longer length. The staff only shake the minaret at the beginning of each hour, there are some bells on the second minaret which help you see the movement.
