Description

Chak Chak is one of the most important Zoroastrian pilgrimage sites. According to a legend this is where Mehrbanu, second daughter of the last Sassanid emperor, a Zoroastrian dynasty, sought refuge in; and the large tree in the building was actually her walking stick. This place in now pilgrimage site and gathering point for Zoroastrians, who come here every year form June 14th to June 18th (in which time non-Zoroastrians cannot enter the site). In Persian language the sound of water dripping which this place was named after since there is always water dripping from the ceiling.

How We Get There?

The cheapest and easiet way to go to Kharanagh, Chak Chak and Meybod (as the most famous touristy route, outside of the city) is booking a taxi or a guide driver. They are not in the same common route and so, this is the best way to go there.
